Joe Moss

President & Co-Founder | Ottawa County Commissioner | Entrepreneur & Business Owner | Health Freedom & Parental Rights Advocate | Constitutional Conservative

Builder. Leader. Delivering results for families.

“Leadership means taking action, standing on principle, and delivering results for the people we serve.”

Joe is an entrepreneur, nonprofit leader, and elected official who loves America. He and his wife, Suzy, are raising their family in Hudsonville and are committed to faith, family, and freedom. Joe brings an action-oriented, results-driven approach to leadership, grounded in a deep conviction to protect families and preserve the foundational principles that make communities thrive.

Joe began his career after earning degrees in Accounting and Marketing from Cedarville University, working for a top 10 accounting firm before founding multiple technology companies serving clients across the United States. As a business owner, he developed a practical understanding of how to build, scale, and lead organizations—experience he now applies to government and nonprofit work.

Joe’s entry into public service was shaped by firsthand experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. When local government actions threatened parents at his child’s Christian school with fines and imprisonment—and ultimately forced the school to close—Joe stepped forward to take action. What began as a defense of his own family quickly became a broader commitment to ensuring government remains accountable to the people it serves.

In 2021, Joe co-founded Ottawa Impact alongside Sylvia Rhodea, helping to build and lead a countywide movement of parents, pastors, business owners, and community leaders. Through disciplined execution and strategic leadership, Joe helped translate shared concern into organized action—mobilizing citizens to protect children, defend parental rights, and restore integrity in local government.

Joe also serves as Co-Founder and President of Michigan Impact, where he leads efforts to build long-term cultural and civic infrastructure rooted in truth and human flourishing.

Joe was elected as an Ottawa County Commissioner in 2022, and served as Board Chair from 2023 to 2024, where he led major structural reforms. Under his leadership, the county eliminated its DEI department—one of the first local governments in the nation to take this step—advanced fiscally responsible policies, and strengthened protections for parents and families. His leadership has been defined by a willingness to take decisive action, implement change, and deliver measurable results.

Joe has worked to restore accountability in government—defending parental rights, health freedom, and constitutional governance—while championing local control and standing with residents to protect their communities, farmland, and way of life. He believes leadership requires both conviction and execution—turning principles into policy and vision into results.

Joe is passionate about building a freer, stronger, more principled future for Ottawa County, Michigan, and beyond. His leadership reflects a commitment to courage, clarity, and action—grounded in the belief that strong families, honest government, and a culture rooted in truth are essential to a thriving nation.

Joe is dedicated to protecting freedom, preserving faith and family, and reclaiming culture through principled leadership, citizen empowerment, and government accountability.
